Dr. Meer Monjur Mahmud is the Executive Director at the Center for Alternative Development Trust (CDT), where he steers a team dedicated to bringing out alternative approaches to development and well-being. He is a prominent Islamic scholar whose work is devoted to the following fields: family and moral values, interfaith, human rights, civic and youth engagement, countering and preventing violent extremism, and social cohesion and empathy. Islamic discourse remains at the center of his academic and advocacy work. He is associated with national and international organizations such as Leadership Universal College, Brisbane, Australia, the Asian Philosophical Association, Turkey, and the Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought. He is also an adjunct faculty at the Manarat International University, Dhaka. He is a specialist speaker on Islamic issues on different TV channels.
