Md. Nurul Islam has worked in the development sector for over 25 years in senior positions in different reputed international and national organizations, such as SHOW UNNAYAN, Care-Bangladesh, CCDB, POPI, and ASD. Currently, he is the Deputy Executive Director (DED) of ASEAB, and as the DED, he leads the program implementation, strategic planning, human resources management, and multi-stakeholder coordination. He has hands-on experience in project implementation in the following domains: education, disaster management, primary health care, gender and women and child rights, livelihood development, entrepreneur development, and value chain management. He has strong skills in project development, strategic planning, organizational review, and donor communication. Working in different areas and with different organizations has enabled him to achieve unique insights into program implementation, people management, and capacity building. He obtained a master’s degree in political science from Rajshahi University.
