Shariful Alam, a Public Policy and Institutional Development Specialist with 30+ years of leadership in governance, WASH, public health, tobacco control, and institutional reform, complements the academic leadership of Professor Niaz Asadullah, an Oxford-trained economist with a prolific record in poverty, education, gender, and labor market research across South and East Asia. Dr. Fazle Rabbi Sadeque Ahmed adds three decades of experience in climate change, environmental science, and climate finance, having played a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s NAPA, NAP, NDCs, and BCCSAP processes. Md. Enayetullah Khan Eusufzee contributes expertise in environmental management, climate resilience, governance, and renewable energy, with leadership in major government, donor, and consultancy roles. Dr. Md. Shafiul Islam, Professor of Public Administration at the University of Rajshahi, brings extensive research and teaching credentials on governance and development administration, while Professor Md. Nazrul Islam, with a PhD from NTU Singapore, enriches the team with globally recognized scholarship on political Islam, governance, and marginalized communities, including seminal works on democracy and political management in South Asia. Collectively, ASEAB’s experts integrate academic rigor, policy advocacy, and applied field research to generate evidence-based insights and innovative solutions that address pressing challenges in governance, climate resilience, social inclusion, and sustainable development in Bangladesh and beyond.
