WASH

The Association for Socio-Economic Advancement of Bangladesh is an organization running a project on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), which are critical issues in Bangladesh, where many people lack access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities. This Project Started in 2003.
Since 2022 this Project has been funded by “BDesh Foundation USA”. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), poor sanitation and a lack of safe drinking water are major contributors to the spread of diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and hepatitis A in the country. The WASH project by ASEAB likely aims to address these issues by providing access to safe drinking water, improving sanitation facilities, and promoting good hygiene practices in Pabna and Jessore. This involves initiatives such as tub-wells and deep wells to provide clean water, constructing latrines and other sanitation facilities, and educating the local population on proper hygiene practices such as handwashing.
